I used 18ga 1 5/8″ metal studs for the wall with the door. I had to cut back the wall board so that it was even with the stud. The studs are thin and both have a bend in the middle. That’s okay, I will mount the door jamb with rivets and I will adjust to the door jamb bend when I make the door
The top 18ga metal track is hollow so I cut a 2×4 to insert so I have something to attach the top door jamb wallboard to.
